Many of you have experienced or are experiencing devastating effects of storms and hurricanes. Some have lost homes or loved ones. We hope your families were not seriously affected. For those of you that were, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mosquito populations usually increase greatly after flooding. Most of these mosquitoes are considered nuisance mosquitoes and will not spread viruses. However, some types of mosquitoes could spread viruses like Zika, dengue, or West Nile. (Source: CDC)
